Lower the ram and remove the Lee die and eject the roll crimped shell - now sporting a well beveled radius.

Get a QuoteJul 10, 2013 · You know the best way is to try it. Take some scrap 1/2" plywood and put under your shell and you have 2-1/4". Add 1/4" ply or use a 3/4" scrap and see if it works for you. It should but you'll have to play with it. You can try u tube. I saw a guy load shotgun shells witha couple pieces of wood and a nail for a deprimer. Not fancy but it worked.

I wouldn't say that do all that great a job, and they are are slower than dirt. I really do think the Lee Load All II concept is a gold mine, unfortunately untouched by Lee in what, 30 years? Maybe more.
Get a QuoteNormally used our reloads with 7 1/2 shot when we did not have any factory loads of 6's on hand. Our dad was a trap shooter who reloaded all his shells so we had plenty of 71/2 shot on hand to swipe from when needed. We loaded our 410 shells with the old Lee Loader kit back in the 70's.
Get a QuoteMost loaders do 2.75 & 3 without problems but require some changes to do full 3.5 shells. Realistically it isn't challenging, much less precision than metallic reloading. Find a recipe and go for it. Most recipes state which shell, wad, powder, and shot they use since there is a relatively large about of variability in shot shells.

I used to load large amounts of 12 gauge shells when I was trap shooting. I also loaded copper plated 10's and 12's for hunting ducks when lead shot was legal for duck hunting.
